The Palmer Grant Program
This is an exciting time and the American Baptist Foundation is so grateful to Gordon and Virginia Palmer for their vision and desire to leave a legacy that will impact lives and ministries for generations to come. During 2011 $1 million will be awarded and our contributing members - American Baptist Home Mission Society (ABHMS), American Baptist Regions (MRC) and International Ministries (IM) will partner with us in this meaningful endeavor.
The theme for the first phase of the 2011 grant cycle was "Discipleship and Incarnational Practice" as determined by ABHMS. The deadline for ABHMS proposals was June 1, 2011. Awards for this first phase were made the week of August 15. Look on the homepage under "Announcements" for the list of recipients.
The MRC grant theme was "Serving as the Hands and Feet of Christ in Regional Ministry". Awards for this cycle were made September 30. The list of recipients are on the home page, under "Announcements".
IM has chosen the theme "Empowering Partner Ministry" for their grant cycle. Applications were due October 15 and the awards will be made January 2012. Please contact IM at (610) 768-2311 for an application.
